About the work

Preparing children and young people for the future requires early interventions and the sharing and spreading of successful methods. We need to promote good and equal health, motivation, and future confidence, as well as create conditions for meaningful leisure, social networks, and help more succeed in school. Young people should feel that they are involved in society, are listened to, and can influence both their lives and the community. As a project manager, you will be responsible for initiating and driving work with the municipalities in Sjuhärad to prepare children and young people for the future. The initiative will support the municipalities' work by initiating, setting up, and launching projects, as well as building, packaging, and disseminating knowledge and lessons learned. The work focuses on scaling up and broadening the ongoing efforts based on the municipalities' needs in two broad areas: the mental health of children and young people and meaningful leisure activities. The work will include, among other things:

  • Strengthening the structure for collaboration, dialogue, and anchoring around the area of children's and young people's mental health, within the municipal association and between the municipal association and the municipalities, as well as other partners such as, for example, the Primary Care Collaboration.
  • Driving development processes at the sub-regional level for enhanced collaboration regarding children and young people to promote mental health and counteract mental illness.
  • Strengthening collaboration between actors working for and influencing children's and young people's meaningful leisure in Sjuhärad.
  • Acting as a driving force to identify local needs and spread information about the opportunity to apply for project funding.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in social issues, with a particular focus on children and young people. You have a relevant academic degree and experience working in public sector organizations. To succeed in this role, you need to be communicative and self-driven while also being attentive. You enjoy building relationships and the challenge of creating collaboration. Since we are keen to find the right person for the assignment, great importance will be placed on personal suitability. The main place of work is Borås, but some of the work will be carried out in the member municipalities.

Employment conditions

Full-time. Project employment until 2028-12-31. Start date and salary according to agreement.
